During this difficult time in our country, many aspects of our lives are different then they usually would be. This includes high school sports unfortunately. In a normal year we would be holding spring open gyms and workouts by now and spring sport athletes would be deep into their seasons. Those things are clearly not happening. The truth is we do not know when we will be allowed to play again. It could be in June for summer league, it could be later in the summer, it could be the normal start of the school year in the fall or it could be the start of next basketball season. No one knows. As soon as we get any information we will post it here as well as reach out to players and families through email/texts. One thing to be sure of is we will play again eventually. So try to keep in condition, practice on your own and keep in touch with your friends and teammates. Make the best of the time you are given. Anyone who wants ideas on how to practice on your own or condition on your own is encouraged to reach out to his teammates or Coach Saultz for ideas. We may be isolated right now but we are still in this together as one Aloha Basketball Family. Stay safe and healthy, we will be together again soon. Go Warriors!
Isolated Workout ideas
Things to do on your own to stay in basketball condition and get stronger:
-Weighted lunges using anything heavy (milk/juice jugs, books, stones, etc)
-Go for a run
-YouTube workout mixes
-Hopping over lines (quick feet drills)
-Burpies and Mountainclimbers
-Running stairs if you have them
-Sprinting hills in your neighborhood
-Jumping up to touch something (gutter, backboard, mark on a post, etc) repeatedly
-Anything else creative that makes you heartbeat rise, you sweat or you work your muscles
